Tangibal launches Digital Poster Network in Cinemas across the UK with Pearl & Dean and inaugural
Pearl & Dean and Tangibal Media have installed and launched the UK’s first fully
interactive digital poster network in 20 Cinemas across the UK. The screens have been installed in
Empire, Showcase and AMC Cinema foyers.
The screens are owned by Tangibal Media and installed in the
Cinemas on an advertising revenue share basis with Pearl & Dean. The screens themselves have some of the
most advanced interactive digital media capabilities available today and are able to handle very complex
and groundbreaking media campaigns. They include:
1. Multi touch – customers can touch the screens
for more info – like a smart phone or tablet pc
2. They have motion sensors built in – where the advert
can be altered by movement
3. They have augmented reality capability
4. They have cameras in them to
enable video and photo functionality
5. The cameras also provide the advertiser with a report on how
many people looked at and engaged with the advertising campaign
6. They can all be linked to social
media networks and email
The screen network has launched with a campaign from O2 the mobile network
operator. The campaign is interactive where customers at the cinemas can touch the screens and chose
from a variety of videos to watch.
The directors of Tangibal believe that this new screen network in
Tangibal Media will deliver significant incremental revenues and profit. Furthermore Tangibal Media is
in the process of manufacturing a further 15 screens for the UK market and intends to continue to invest
in expanding this style of screen network globally in Cinemas.
